This park is next to a school and seems to be often used for after-school activities and sports programs. The playground is large and kids will love it.
The tennis court area is very nice. It has two courts that are partially fenced inside, which cuts down on balls from one court going into the other one. The court on the east side is well-shaded in the morning by a stand of pine trees; the other court is sunnier (and hotter).
There are also baseball fields, a large open space, a volleyball pit, and a basketball court.
The best part about this park from our perspective is that it is located right along one of the best walking and biking paths in the Phoenix metro area, the Scottsdale Greenway, so if you're on the path you can feed the ducks at the pond near Hayden & Royal Palm, and then continue on the path all the way to this park. Gives the kids something to look forward to.
There are basic restrooms and a drinking fountain also, as well as some fitness equipment (like a "par course," but all bunched together near the playground).
Right next to the Scottsdale Path

Galileo Bakery is nearby in the shopping center at Hayden. Excellent baked goods.
