Catching some Spring Training action at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, Cactus League home of the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks?

Make the most of the beautiful spring weather with some of the best nearby places Scottsdale has to offer:
Hiking Trail: The McDowell Mountains, visible to the northeast (past left-center field), are home to gorgeous cactus forests and trails for every ability. Gateway Trailhead is an excellent starting point.
Dog Park: Scottsdale Horizon Park, east of the 101 off Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard, has sweeping views of the neighboring mountains, a playground, walking paths, and more. The dog park is located on the west side of the park.
Disc Golf Course: Vista del Camino Park, in southern Scottsdale on McDowell Road, has a disc golf course that's "mostly flat but it has a lot of water traps which make it as challenging as you want it to be."
Skate Park: McDowell Mountain Ranch Park, on Thompson Peak Parkway, has a lighted skate park.
Place to learn about Native American culture: Huhugam Ki Museum, east of the 101 on Indian School Road, on the land of the Salt River Pima–Maricopa Indian Community, is open weekdays.
Mexican Food: Habanero's Mexican Grill, west of the 101 off Raintree, is an informal family-run restaurant with excellent food at family-friendly prices.
